Light comedy manga with sport and a, well, silly attempt of a plot, really.
The protagonist's mother is supposed to be the drama point of it all, just really who cares nearly her, let's be honest 😀
You want to read this manga for the emotions these girls convey during the matches.
and btw, in case you're wondering, the already occasional ecchi disappears later on the beginning 2-3 volumes.
The art, however, is the ane controversial aspect of the manga. Information technology'due south fine for the first 2 volumes or then, but and then something foreign happens.
The character blueprint evolves for the better, it gets richer, more unique and less commercial and moe overall, but the quality gets... uhmmm.
While information technology manages to be very powerful, functional, even realistic during the sport sections, anywhere else it just drops. Whenever it'south fourth dimension to show people talk, or just show a face from the front on a bigger panel, the quality declines at an unjustifiable rate, and the same character won't even await the same as it did 3 pages prior. it'due south not fifty-fifty a matter of artistic choices: the artist merely straight upward forgets basic stuff such equally perspectives, proportions, poses, lighting on the pilus, grapheme consistency, screentones... It goes from actually exciting to very rushed and unpleasant to expect at. It'south clear the artists put more effort in some chapters and rushed some of the others.

I was expecting this to be
Haikyuu!!with Badminton, but it only isn't. The art style is skillful, but the narrative is non particularly peachy (it feels kind of non-expert) and I accept a difficult time understanding the main graphic symbol. Her personality has a sudden 180. She shows traces of some kind of psychosis merely the author never fully embraces it. Also,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
her mother refuses to see her for some stupid reason that does not make sense. Like, the writer saw it in another manga and thought "I desire to practice that" but it's not washed well
.
But, I am going to go on reading this and hope that information technology gets better.

This is a sports manga with unsatisfying sports matches. In contrast to eastward.one thousand.
Baby Stepsor
Eyeshield 21, hardly annihilation of the matches is really depicted, and (at to the lowest degree in the first 17 chapters) far more fourth dimension is devoted to emotional issues and bonding, than it is to the bodily sport. Meh.
